Cheap and Dirty Productions is a full service motion picture and television production company. The intent of the corporation is to develop and produce independent-spirited high concept films and television, both in dramatic and factual entertainment for the domestic and international marketplace. Its corporate mission is to instill market-driven projects with vision and intelligence, whether they be features, series or documentaries. The company’s focus is primarily in the creation of original feature film and television productions. It also does co-productions and service work.
The company started to gain acclaim in 2005 with its feature length film “Fetching Cody” which premiered to sold out audiences at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film went on to screen at over 25 festivals around the world, garnered Best Picture at the Sedona International Film Festival, a Gold Remi in Science Fiction from WorldFest Huston, and then completed a successful five-city theatrical release in Canada. It was followed in 2006 with “A Safer Sex Trade”, a 1-hour documentary, which premiered at the Whistler Film Festival and received an Honorable Mention Chris Award at the prestigious Columbus Film and Video Festival, before taking its title as the most viewed documentary for its season on CBC Newsworld’s: The Lens.
Presently, Cheap and Dirty Productions is in development with several features and television series, as well as forging strategic partnerships with other companies and principals.
